Frequently Asked Questions

Learn How it Works!

What are the menu options and can we customize menus if we want to?

We have a planned monthly menu with an assortment of themed cooking classes, from savory to sweet, international cuisine, healthy family-friendly recipes, wine pairings, all of which are designed around having fun and learning new kitchen skills. If you would like to customize your own menu, we can discuss doing a private event or perhaps your idea could be a good option to open registration for a public class.

How many guests can you accommodate?

We cap our adult cooking classes at 24 participants.

Do you make accommodations for food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Please know that we are NOT an allergy-free or nut-free facility. Remember, while the recipes can be modified, we are not an allergy-free facility for modified ingredients. We do, however, have the ability to cater an entire event to accommodate different dietary needs/restrictions, including gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and vegan. For your safety, individual adjustments cannot be made at an event that is open to the public. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.  There is an additional charge for dietary modifications.

How are your classes structured?

Our expert chef instructor will educate and demonstrate how to execute the recipes, then at your fully-equipped prep station and cooking area, you and your group will prepare and cook your entire meal from start to finish.   At the end of class, you will learn to plate your meal, drop your aprons and enjoy your hard work at our communal table.

Please note unless specifically stated in the listing, our classes are designed for groups of 4 to work together at a station.  Parties of 3 or less may be paired with another group to work together to execute the meal.  We think that’s what makes our events so much fun – meeting new people! Please note that if you are coming with friends but registering separately and want to be seated together, please note this on the bottom of the registration form titled "Is there Anything Special We Need to Know?".

Depending on class size, we will try to accommodate parties of 3 or less at their own table, however this is not a guarantee.  You may purchase 4 tickets if you want to insure you have your own station.

Is gratuity included in the price?

Gratuity is not included in the price however, showing your appreciation for your culinary team's hard work is always appreciated.   Let's face it... we all knead the dough!  All kidding aside, if you wish to add a gratuity, please bring cash or you may tip at the bar.

Is beer and wine included?

Beer and wine are NOT included in the price of the event. For guests 21 and over (with a valid id), we have domestic and craft beer, several artisan red and white wines by the bottle or glass, Champagne and Prosecco, and Vodka Seltzers.  You may bring your own beer and wine for a $10 corkage fee.  We provide openers and glasses.  No hard liquor is allowed in the kitchen as per Florida law.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

All sales are final and non-refundable. There are no exceptions. Budding Chef will not be held responsible for no shows, last minute emergencies and unforeseen circumstances, including illness. You can reschedule your booking up to 5 days prior to the start time of the class using online rebooking. Rescheduling requests within 5 days of the class are not eligible for rebooking. New bookings made within 5 days of the class cannot be rescheduled. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to class, you may be denied entry and will not be offered a refund or rescheduling.
