Frequently Asked Questions Adult Classes and Groups

Learn How it Works!

What are the menu options and can we customize menus if we want to?

We have a planned monthly menu with an assortment of themed cooking classes, from savory to sweet, international cuisine, healthy family-friendly recipes, wine pairings, all of which are designed around having fun and learning new kitchen skills. If you would like to customize your own menu, we can discuss doing a private event or perhaps your idea could be a good option to open registration for a public class.

How many guests can you accommodate?

Since we have portable tables and the ability to move things around, this number can be somewhat flexible.  However, to be in compliance with the fire safety laws, we cannot have more than 49 people in the studio at one time, including our staff.

Do you make accommodations for food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Please know that we are NOT an allergy-free or nut-free facility. Remember, while the recipes can be modified, we are not an allergy-free facility for modified ingredients. We do, however, have the ability to cater an entire event to accommodate different dietary needs/restrictions, including gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and vegan. For your safety, individual adjustments cannot be made at an event that is open to the public. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

How are your classes structured?

All classes are formatted where a culinary instructor will be demonstrating the recipe step-by-step and each table will be following along making the recipe from scratch.  Depending on the event, tables may be arranged where you will either work in group settings or more of a classroom setting working individually or together with your date.  Then it’s time to eat and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Is gratuity included in the price?

Gratuity is not included in the price (except for corporate events) however, showing your appreciation for your culinary team's hard work is always appreciated.   Let's face it... we all knead the dough!  All kidding aside, if you wish to add a gratuity, it will be calculated based on your event total at the time of registration.  Please note that this will be charged as a separate transaction after your event.

Is beer and wine included?

Beer and wine are not included in the price of the event. For guests 21 and over (with a valid id), we have domestic and craft beer, several red and white wines by the bottle or glass, Truly and High Noons available for sale.  You may not bring your own beer and wine or any other alcoholic beverage into the studio.

Can I bring decorations, themed paper goods, and my own birthday cake for a party?

You may bring balloons or a small table centerpiece. No other decorations are to be brought. We provide the children with plates and silverware to eat what they create. You may bring an outside birthday cake and themed paper plates for a cake if you’d like (we do not have room in our refrigerators to store the cake). We will provide traditional birthday candles. Our team will prepare the birthday blowout and cut and serve the cake. We do offer an option for the children to make cupcakes instead of a birthday cake, a fun activity that we strongly recommend. They are here to cook and bake, after all!

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

Due to high demand, and limited seating, we do not offer refunds. If you cannot be in attendance at your scheduled event, a request must be received within 48 hours before the start time of your event. Following this procedure, we will issue a credit for use on a future date, minus a 10% fee. After the 48-hour window, you may send a sibling or friend in your child’s absence; however, no refund or credit will be issued.

How do we sign the mandatory waivers? How are waivers for our party guests handled?

Due to our insurance requirements, executed waivers are required for guest participation. You will receive a clickable link in your confirmation email directing you to our online smart waiver, or you can click the link here. Please note that we do run on a tight schedule and will not have time to handle waivers at the studio. Waivers must be completed online before the event.  The waiver must be signed by A PARENT for all minors (no caretakers of any kind may execute a waiver for a minor). If any guests have not completed a waiver, they will not be able to participate in the event. If you are hosting a party, it is your responsibility to be sure we have all your guest’s emails for us to email waivers to them in advance
